It's a terrible thing when someone is led away from God because they believe someone they trusted. It happened to someone I know personally but it also happened to someone we all know and that is Beyoncé. When this young woman first came on the scene she was known to be a Christian. She even built a brand new gymnasium for her church. She seemed to be a sweet, almost innocent young woman and then she became involved with JayZ. This man has turned her away from the God she served from childhood. However, I don’t just blame JayZ or the husband of the woman I know personally, I place the fault on every pastor and preacher who had a part in indoctrinating these women and others with Christianity. They failed them and they failed the church. They probably taught rules and doctrines but they never helped these women or others to develop a true personal, intimate relationship with the Father Himself. I’m sure like every church they told them to pray but did they teach them what true prayer is? Were they ever taught that prayer is communication with God? That it’s not not just saying words or even quoting scriptures, as we like to say, to stand on the word, but it’s to talk to God as though you’re speaking to your lover. Not in a fleshly way but in a way that’s intimate, devoted and personal. It’s to talk to and with Him in the way that you would talk to your best, best friend. It’s to share with Him the intimate, private, innermost details of one's life and then more than anything, to listen to Him as He speaks back to you.
