In this episode, Qari Ibrahim shares the first maqam with Ustadh Nouman - Maqam Saba - a tone used when expressing sadness.

We learn about the origins of this maqam and its use cases in the Arab world, and thereafter Ustadh Nouman gets a lesson on how to recite with this particular maqam and learns which pitch suits him best.

The method used in this series for learning each maqam will consist of:

1) Learning about the origins
2) Humming the tone
3) Reciting Al-Fatihah
4) Reciting the Adhan
