Before Monzo or Starling, there was Atom. It's been ten years since Atom Bank, a digital challenger bank based in the North East of England, was incorporated. Since then, it has grown to become one of the most profitable neobanks in Britain.

Atom launched to the public in 2016 and has continued to go from strength to strength, announcing in March this year that it made an operating profit of £27m.

We thought it was time to catch up with Mark to discuss how to build a trusted brand from scratch and hear about Atom’s plans for the future. And yes, we also asked him about their now famous 4-day work week.
