DirecTV lands deal to buy Dish TV for $1

DirecTV just reached an agreement to acquire Dish Network, which would make it the largest Pay-TV provider in the US. This deal came together to save the debt-ridden Dish brand and lump 2 cable providers into one unit, but can it get through regulatory approval? And is cable now really on its last leg?
