THE ATHLETIC
About this episode

Tony, James and Si are back following Liverpool's opening day win over Ipswich Town as new head coach Arne Slot begins life at Liverpool with a win.

Mohamed Salah and Diogo Jota were amongst the goals, while Jarrell Quansah's half-time substitution caused plenty of discussion. Caoimhe O'Neill drops by with her take from Portman Road before we look ahead to the final 10 days of the summer transfer window with the Reds interested in Valencia's Giorgi Mamardahsvili while Joe Gomez could head the queue of possible departures.

On transfers, we also hear from former Liverpool Director of Research Ian Graham following the launch of his book How to win the Premier League particularly on the process behind the signing of Darwin Nunez.

Plus, 20 years on from signing Xabi Alonso and Luis Garcia the panel reflect on their memories of the former no.10. Enjoy!
