CS 1642: A is for Apostolic Succession

About this episode

Today we are kicking off a brand new series: THE ABC's OF THE CATHOLIC FAITH! Join us as we work our way through the entire alphabet, and learn more about our wonderful Faith. Today we are kicking things off with A which is for Apostolic Succession!

+ MONDAY: Apostolic Succession is the historical continuity between the present Church and the Apostles.

+ TUESDAY: The Bishops have received the authority God gave the Apostles at Pentecost.

+ WEDNESDAY: In the New Testament we see Matthias, Timothy and Titus made bishops and receive this authority.

+ THURSDAY: Early Church Fathers spoke about bishops and apostolic succession.

+FRIDAY: The miter, crosier, and episcopal ring worn by the bishop help us understand his duty and authority.
