Episode 627: 8 men before Special Crimin...

Sunday World
About this episode

Eight young men including three teenagers are now before the Special Criminal Court on charges surrounding the Christmas Eve murder of Jason Hennessy Snr followed by the killing of his gunman Tristan Sherry.

The Brownes steakhouse massacre which played out in front of young families was one of the most shocking outbreaks of gangland violence in recent times.

This week an 18-year-old accused of removing the sumachine gun used in the murder of Hennessy was granted bail while the victims son Brandon Hennessy, was charged with violent disorder and joined seven others facing charges, including four who will stand trial for murder.

Nicola speaks with Niall Donald about the case and the on-going fallout of the violence.
