Caprichosos, vengativos, sádicos... Los emperadores romanos del siglo I d.C. han pasado a la historia como desequilibrados mentales, aunque en realidad actuaban para defender su poder. 

En la época de la Ilustración, cada vez más personas se aficionaron a leer novelas, diarios o libros científicos y a acudir a bibliotecas. 

En el siglo XII surgieron en el sur de Francia una serie de poetas músicos que vivían en las cortes de señores y príncipes y cantaban su amor por damas de alta alcurnia, a las que soñaban conquistar.
