IndiGo’s New Avatar

THE ECONOMIC TIMES
About this episode

Budget airline IndiGo is shaking things up! It just ordered a bunch of giant Airbus A350 planes, which translates to things the LCC has never offered before: long haul international flights and a semi premium product. This could be a game changer for Indian aviation, given it controls more than 60% of the market. The new planes are expensive to own and fly, competition is fierce, and it'll take time to turn a profit on those long trips. Can IndiGo make it work? Anirban Chowdhury asks Kapil Kaul, CEO of consultancy firm CAPA India, and ET’s aviator-in-chief Arindam Majumder in the latest episode of The Morning Brief podcast. Tune in!
