Pat McAfee, ESPN
About this episode

On this episode of The Pat McAfee Show we dive right into all things that have happened in the sports landscape from this past weekend. With so much attention given to the mens and women’s college basketball tournaments Pat jumps right in to discuss the latest teams advancing to the next round. There was also the college wrestling championships this weekend and we have all been introduced to a new dynasty, the Penn St. team has won 11 of the last 13 team championships and to discuss more about the sport Daniel Cormier comes on the show to give some insight into the sport. After some wrestling chatter Pat brings it back in to discuss the dominant performance by the Purdue Boilermakers and UConn Huskies who are both trying to cement their legacies at the top of college basketball. We hit the “Rumor Mill” with a new friend from the weekend Donny Don Dons who has some interesting takes from what he has “been hearing”. Starting off the second hour, longtime family of the progrum AJ Hawk has made his return to the show after spending a week in Jamaica. Pat catches AJ up on all things sports related and they begin discussing the new NFL rule changes that are going into place from the owners meetings down in Orlando. To elaborate more on these rule changes Tom Pelissero joins the progrum and gives us all the details we need to know. Sticking with the NFL news Adam Schefter joins Pat to discuss the details behind the L'Jarius Sneed trade, the new kickoff rule, and much more happening in the NFL. To bring in the third hour an all time guest “Mad Mel” Kiper hops on to give the boys his latest draft insight from Caleb Williams to all the crazy situations that could possibly occur on draft night. To close out the show Pat takes us back to basketball and brings on college sports analyst Rece Davis to apologize and clear up some states he had made regarding a particular sports bet this weekend and give us some of his insight on what to expect for the rest of the tournament.
