Bittersweet Moment #112: An American Wed...

Expat, Repat, Travel, Rome, Seattle, Books, Art, Italy, Wonder
About this episode

For the second installment in our series of Italian wedding-themed mini-episodes, Tiffany looks back on her wedding in Rome almost exactly ten years ago, and how she tried (and sometimes failed) to incorporate both the stylish American wedding trends she loved and the strict Italian wedding traditions and norms that her soon-to-be in-laws expected. Throw misunderstandings and assumptions into the mix and you have a few hitches that can be looked back on and laughed at—now that ten years have passed.

You'll hear what her father-in-law did with the top tier of her wedding cake, what her mother-in-law did with her bouquet, and what innocuous paper product almost derailed the whole wedding (not really).
