今天的故事是关于台湾移工的故事。台湾移工,指的是通过「移动」、「迁移」到台湾求职或工作的外国人。从上个世纪八十年代末九十年代初,台湾开始开放引入移工。这三十多年来,到台湾来打工的主要来自东南亚国家。目前约有 80 万名移工居住在台湾,主要来自印度尼西亚、越南和菲律宾等国。他们一般需要通过中介公司,这些公司在本国招募他们,然后送到台湾去当建筑工人、工厂流水线工人和老年护工等。

过去,台湾人把他们叫外劳,但这个词慢慢的带上歧视和排外的意味,所以为了表示尊重和表达更准确,现在改称为移工。

这一次我们制作了上下两集移工故事,今天播出的是上集,本周三会播出下集。

今天这个上集的讲述者莉莉(Ririn Arumsari)来自印度尼西亚,在台湾生活了近 12 年,她平时住在老人家里,做老年护工。远离家乡的莉莉,有过快乐,也体验过艰辛,她一直在书写自己在台湾的故事,分享自己的经历。
