In this English lesson, you will improve your English while understanding the 11 federal holidays in the United States: 🇺🇸 ENGLISH LESSON | DISCUSSING AN AMERICAN HOLIDAY https://youtu.be/BTS3vgBmYao 🟨 To become a member and get special videos, join the Discord server, and special member chats, click this link: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCakDTg9dhhAsr3WmHyJDa-g/join 1. **New Year's Day (January 1st)**: Celebrates the start of the new year. 2. **Martin Luther King Jr. Day (Third Monday in January)**: Honors civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. 3. **Presidents' Day (Third Monday in February)**: Honors all U.S. presidents, particularly George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. 4. **Memorial Day (Last Monday in May)**: Honors military personnel who died in service. 5. **Juneteenth National Independence Day (June 19th)**: Commemorates the end of slavery in the U.S. 6. **Independence Day (July 4th)**: Celebrates the Declaration of Independence and the birth of the U.S. 7. **Labor Day (First Monday in September)**: Honors the contributions of American workers. 8. **Columbus Day (Second Monday in October)**: Marks Christopher Columbus's arrival in the Americas in 1492. 9. **Veterans Day (November 11th)**: Honors all U.S. military veterans. 10. **Thanksgiving Day (Fourth Thursday in November)**: A day of giving thanks and feasting with family and friends. 11. **Christmas Day (December 25th)**: Celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ, also a widely celebrated cultural holiday. These holidays are recognized by the federal government and are observed by federal employees, with many also widely celebrated throughout the country.
