How fundraising is undermining feminism

LiSTNR
About this episode

The National Organization for Women was a game-changer for women. It led the second wave of feminism creating opportunities unimagined a generation before. It was funded and grew through grassroots activism and fundraising.

American academic Katherine Turk suggests donation-driven activism is undermining activism, in particular feminism.

In this episode of Global Truths, Dr Keith Suter looks at the history of activism fundraising, where it all went wrong, and why feminism in particular is suffering as a result.
