Let’s go to 2014 to revisit my conversation with my first ever internet friend Camilla Wright. Camilla is the founder an editor of the internet’s longest-running, deepest-digging gossipmongers, Popbitch which has been in action since late 1999. Popbitch is easily, if not the very first internet pop culture gossip sites or gossip newsletters which set the standard of internet reporting from celebrity culture to pop culture in the new millennium.
Camilla is a remarkable woman who left a career in serious political journalism covering Eastern Europe as it emerged from communism in the late 90s to start a weekly email about pop stars behaving badly.
