Steve Scalise Talks House Priorities Whe...

FOX NEWS RADIO
About this episode

Though Congress is getting a break to spend Thanksgiving with loved ones, members have a lot of work to do when they return to Washington. House Republicans have their hands full with working across the aisle to reach a consensus on how to fund the government while cutting back spending, securing our southern border, aiding our allies in Ukraine and Israel, and more -- but will the Democratic-led Senate and President Biden be open to working alongside Republicans to avoid the back and forth we've seen thus far? On the Rundown, House Majority Leader Steve Scale (R-LA) discusses why he believes Republicans are on a great path forward under the new leadership of his fellow Louisianan Speaker Mike Johnson and how "unity" will be the tool Republicans need to pass the policies they're confident will better America. He also discusses how he's been doing since his cancer diagnosis earlier this year and why he remains grateful this holiday season.

Inflation has started to cool off, allowing many to purchase more this holiday season. Americans are on pace to spend about 4.5 percent less on Thanksgiving dinner than they did last year, with key ingredients down about 20 percent. Stew Leonard Jr., owner of the Stew Leonard's grocery chain, joins the Rundown to discuss turkey prices and how inflation impacted the supply chain.

Plus, commentary from former U.S. Senator and U.S. Ambassador to New Zealand and Samoa, Scott Brown.
