About this episode
Polo is a ball game played on horseback, a traditional field sport and one of the world's oldest known team sports. Polo has been called "the sport of kings" In Persia, polo became a national sport, played by the nobility and military men. The game was formalised and spread west to Constantinople, east to Tibet, China and Japan, and south to India.
