The Light of the Gospel

Vanessa P. Brown
About this episode

People usually do not want to change their ways because they do not want to change the way of seeing things or their thinking. Webster's dictionary defines set in one's ways, as “an unwillingness to change one's habits, behaviors or opinions."

Corinthians 4:4 the apostle Paul says this, "the God of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. Whatever you think in your mind, you will calculate and become it.Satan was able to deceive the mind of Eve when she open the gate of her mind and calculated Satan's word against the word of God. The world the space and time we are now in is under his influence. He has dominion over the world and it is under his control and direction. Men continue to practice evil because they are subject to Satan. The mind refers to thinking and purpose. Satan blinds the thinking and purpose of man by distracting them from hearing the good news (the gospel), he turns the mind of the unbeliever s against God and makes their lives full of darkness.

The light of the gospel is illumination and enlightenment, Excellency beauty or splendor. The light of the gospel allows you to see your spiritual state. The light of the gospel displays the glory of Christ who is the image of God. The gospel and lightens our minds and allows us to see the glory of Jesus Christ.
