En el siglo XII surgieron en el sur de Francia una serie de poetas músicos que vivían en las cortes de señores y príncipes y cantaban su amor por damas de alta alcurnia, a las que soñaban conquistar. 

Lo que los nazis no destruían, lo robaban, y a base de expoliar colecciones privadas y museos de todos y cada uno de los países que invadían, acumularon el mayor botín artístico de la Historia.
