Everyone like John Hirst. So much so he was even known at his home in Majorca as 'Nice John'. He was found in all the right clubs and at all the events where the wealthy ex-pats gathered on the Island.
Perma-tanned John lived in an expensive villa with his wife Linda and they enjoyed a fantastic lifestyle with all the trappings of success with many exotic holidays, designer clothes and jewellery, a luxury motor boat and two top of the range cars – an open topped sports car for Linda and a top of the range Mercedes for John.
But this apparent success was all based on lies and deception, and as the financial markets declined, John fled back to the UK knowing that everything was about to come crashing down, ruining the lives of many of his friends who had trusted him with their money.
