Inner Child Healing: How to Begin the Jo...

Lisa A. Romano
About this episode

The inner child is that part of ourselves that holds the truth of our traumatic pasts. The inner child has been parented by those who may have been unaware they are unaware. When you are raised in a dysfunctional home, the ones in control do not admit that the home is toxic and often rely on denial to keep the sick family system going. The vulnerable narcissistic father, and angry codependent mother, who are stuck in a toxic relationship, can become blind to the damaging effects their immaturity, or lack of awareness is causing their children.

However, if you have been raised by toxic parents, all is not lost. Your inner child is an innate, authentic aspect of you that you can learn to honor and connect with at any time. Often, wounded adult children are able to far more for others than themselves. We can benefit from this dynamic by perceiving our inner child as an actual little person within, that is worthy of our love, protection, and compassion.

It is my hope, that this episode allows you the ability to begin your inner child healing journey.

Dear One, you are enough, but your subconscious mind may be working against you and by default, keeping you stuck in survival patterns that require that you abandon the self. The 21 Day Inner Child Journaling Program can help you begin that journey back to the divine inner child.
