دِعبِل الخُزاعيّ... الشّاعر المُعارض

يكتب الشّعراء القصائد للخلفاء طمعاً بمكانة عالية ومكاسب ماديّة، وهذا ما عهِدناه من أمر الشّعراء، أمّا أن يسلّط الشّاعر لسانه على الخلفاء شتماً وهجاءً! فهذه ظاهرة نادرة في الشّعر العربيّ.
اتّجه إلى كلّ مَن عاصرهم من خلفاء عصره، فجعلهم مادّة دسمة لشِعره الهجائيّ، مُسجّلاً بذلك حالة معارضة سياسية متفرّدة.
اختلف مؤرّخو الأدب حول اسمه ونسبه، قِيل اسمه الحسن، أو عبد الرحمن، أو محمد، ولم يعرف بشكل صريح إلّا بلقبه.
