Evolving your art style

Phoebe Gander & Julie Battisti
About this episode

This week we revisit the topic of art style. We dig into the difference between style and genre and discuss how our art styles have emerged, and where they continue to evolve. We discuss the pros and cons of wanting to try ‘everything’ and how some people seem to display a style from the get-go. Julie talks through the differences between her two styles of painting, but doesn’t want to be pigeonholed, and Phoebe shares her S.T.Y.L.E acronym that explains how her style is evolving and what things she’s let go of in order to grow. We realise that a style is not a thing that you arrive at but a continually evolving process!
