Wilson & Antonio: How did Newcastle lose...

Bbc Radio 5 Live
About this episode

Somehow Newcastle lost at the weekend. And Callum’s in a bad mood. But luckily for us, he gives us five minutes to analyse where it all went wrong.

Should Trent Alexander-Arnold have been sent off along with Virgil van Dijk? And what do the boys make of the unprecedented increase in yellow and red cards?

Michail is at it again! Last week the boys dissected a sweet right-footed strike into the bottom left corner. This week they dissect a sweet right-footed strike into the left corner. But which one was better?

Surprisingly, Callum was singing Michail’s praises. But he also noticed a poor performance from the West Ham man in his post-match interview. We take another listen and the boys argue over who is better in front of the cameras.

We’re only three games in and already a lot of people are handing City the league title. But surely not?! Who else do the boys think will be up there? Are Spurs in with a shout? Big Ange Postecoglou is making waves at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium (and with Robbie Williams), but how far can he take them?

In Footballers Unfiltered this week, we get an update on Detective Wilson’s investigation into Sandro Tonali’s Wetherspoons jaunt, Callum picks his dream Champions League opponents and Michail chooses between presenting the pod with 5 Callum Wilsons or one 5-year-old Callum Wilson. Have something you want to ask the boys? Email them at ffp@bbc.co.uk.
