Dr. Gregory Evans is a respected figure in plastic surgery, serving as a professor of surgery and biomedical engineering at UCI. He earned his medical degree from the University of Southern California and further honed his skills with a plastic surgery residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Before joining UC Irvine, Dr. Evans spent seven years at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas, specializing in cancer reconstruction procedures. His surgical expertise spans a broad spectrum, from cosmetic procedures to cutting-edge cancer reconstructions.

Beyond his surgical roles, Dr. Evans is a leading researcher in tissue engineering, focusing on the creation of new tissue for damaged nerves.

His professional journey includes roles as the Bruce F. Connell Endowed Chair of the Department of Plastic Surgery at UCI, Director of UCI Health Plastic Surgery Services, and Co-director of the Center for Tissue Engineering. He has been recognized by various institutions, including the Orange County Medical Association and Castle Connolly Medical Ltd. Dr. Evans is also an honorary member of international plastic surgery societies in Korea and South Africa.
