S1 Ep136: Bad Roommates and Cancel Cultu...

well said syd
About this episode
DOM ROBERTS in the house! Here to talk all things bad roommates, backhanded complements, being yourself is NOT brave, and cancel culture. Dom was an absolute pleasure to have on the podcast in LA at the Two Hot Takes studio <3

Dom talks about her activist work and how she became a voice for those who didn't know how to have one. She talks about speaking up and saying something authentically, with the possibility of failing, vs. performative allyship. Do canceled people get a second chance?? She speaks to having the tough conversations with friends - not just handling tough conversations with passiveness.

Dom also speaks to being plus sized and the back handed complements and mistreatment from companies she has had to face while being welcomed onto THEIR shoot. "Being yourself is not brave" - a quote that will forever have a place in our brains.

Last, but not least, Dom shares her horrible roommate situation - I think everyone can relate to at one point or another. How do you handle a bad roommate? She plays ROOM or RUN with Syd & Soph before leaving us with some tips on what to do if you're ever in this situation. <3 Thank you for your transparency & openness DOM <3
