Part One of Our Interview with the Legen...

JIM HARRIS
About this episode

What an absolute pleasure it was to interview Artimus Pyle.  He gets into his early years, his (very young) intro to the drums, the loss of his Dad at a young age, how Charlie Daniels and the Marshall Tucker Band led him to Skynyrd, recording Saturday Night Special, which was his first time in the studio with the band, his tremendous respect for Rodney Mills, his friendship with Bob Burns, and how he, Rodney and Kevin Elson rescued Street Survivors and helped turn it into one of rock's most incredible albums.

Find Artimus's band Pyletribe here.

Our regular features, Covers and Hidden Gem, are back as well.

Our producer/editor is Jane Jones.

Be sure and also check out the Percy and Face podcast. It's another great listen for rock lovers.

The intro and outro are courtesy of Diane Williamson, the worldwide voice of OnStar and Intercontinental Hotels.
