“Lisa, what is wrong with you? Why can’t you help Mom? You know she has never asked any of us for anything!” I yelled at my sister.
“Exactly! Xara, she never asked for anything so why are you pushing this?”
“Because she is your mother, our mother,” Shemar, our older brother, said calmly, “Last year was hard for her. She was sick and because of that she’s behind on her mortgage. If we don’t help her she is going to lose the house.”
“She has her two favourite people to help her. I worked hard for everything I have, I wasn’t given anything unlike you two. She doesn’t need me and I don’t need her.”
“If it wasn’t for Mom you would have nothing or did you forget who gave you the money to start this company? She sacrificed everything for us!” I screamed.
“Get out of my office before I call security,” Lisa sat behind her desk and folded her arms.
“Let’s go, Xara,” my brother grabbed my arm before I could lunge at my sister.
