The purpose of the truths of Ephesians 1:4–6 is to awaken the human heart in passion for Christ and confidence in God. The knowledge of the gospel is not only the facts which describe the spiritual regeneration of the heart or the change of the legal condition before heaven, but these further unlock the transformation of the living condition (emotional/spiritual) toward holiness, perseverance, and mature love. A life of love and worship are undergirded by profound truths. These truths serve as the anchor for the true Christian life. The Spirit wants His people confident before Him in love.
