Please listen to our latest episode of The Lebanese Physicians' Podcast with Drs. Tania Baban and Vlad Chaddad, and co-hosted with Dr. MohammadAli Jardali. Dr. Chaddad has been a very active member of the NGO community in the region and is currently responsible for the work of IRC in the region. Dr. Baban is medical director of the MedGlobal mission in Lebanon. In this episode, we discuss medical NGO work in Lebanon and the Middle East, especially in light of the recent crises in the region and after the Beirut blast. We discuss the importance of sustainability and empowering local communities of people and healthcare workers to deliver preventative healthcare services in the areas they servce. We also delve into the importance of collaboration among the different NGOs.
