About this episode

On today's episode, I interview ENT Specialist Dr Annelyse Ballin as we do a dive-deep on Otitis Media with effusion or as we know as, Glue ears how to recognize it, treat it and possibly prevent it.
Dr Annelyse  is an Otolaryngologist (ENT) with over 10 years of experience. She has vast experience in all pediatric and adults general ENT conditions. Committed to providing the best and most updated treatment to each patient, Dr Annelyse participates and speaks at Medical Conferences and has been publishing multiple articles in American Journals and Medical Book chapters.

She believes in whole well-being, that the experience with the ENT (especially for children) should be pleasant, and that patients should understand their conditions. Patients’ education about their condition has a key role in Dr Annelyse’s approach, aiming for the treatment decision to be shared and tailored to each patient.
Her expertise in procedures includes adenotonsillectomy, grommets insertion, septoplasty, and sinus surgery. However, Dr Annelyse prioritizes conservative treatments whenever possible and based on evidence.
A strong believer that restful sleeping and proper breathing are fundamental for children and adults to become their best high-performance version, Dr Annelyse has experience and passion in sleep and breathing areas.
