American Road Trip Part 1: Portland E-Pr...

Talksport
About this episode

Jon Jackson is joined by Formula E television host Radzi Chinyanganya for a special electrifying episode, recorded live at the Portland International Raceway.

The first ever Portland E-Prix was as eventful as we expected - with New Zealand's Nick Cassidy taking his third win of the season to move a point behind Britain's Jake Dennis at the top of the championship table.

We hear from both drivers along with third-placed António Félix da Costa as we reflect on whether we prefer seeing the Gen3 car tackle flowing racetracks or the usual winding street circuits.

Motorsport legend and team manager Michael Andretti sat down with us after qualifying to reflect on his memories at PIR and give his thoughts on the current Formula E car, where they should race in 2024 and how the championship can conquer America.

We also hear from local TV legend, Fox 12 Oregon's Tony Martinez - who joined us earlier in the season in Monaco and was so impressed, ended up ordering an electric car on his return to the States!

This podcast is brought to you in partnership with the ABB Formula E World Championship. Watch the highlights from Portland and buy tickets to the season finale in London here: https://www.fiaformulae.com/en/ways-to-watch
