About this episode

This Millionaire Mindcast episode is sponsored by BetterHelp. Give online therapy a try at betterhelp.com/MINDCAST and get on your way to being your best self.

Today, we have an incredible guest, Brad Pedersen who shares a lot of wisdom, his entrepreneur story, having a life plan and a business plan, how he gets fired from a company he founded, the foundational values versus flexible values, and the 4 C’s in life that really build real wealth and legacy!

Brad Pedersen is a husband, father, founder, author, mentor, adventurer, and Co-founder and Chairman at Pela and Lomi, a waste innovation company that sells revolutionary appliances that turns waste into Lomi Earth and solves daily food waste problems. He wrote an upcoming book, “Startup Santa”.

This man also developed a toy company, "bootstrapping" and became one of the largest Canadian toy companies.  The company received several awards including the: CYBF Growth Award, Growth 500 ranking 7 years (2001 - 2005, 2012, 2019, 2020), Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year nominee, BDO Business Value Award, Deloitte Fast 50 #47 in North America Tech, and Deloitte Fast 50 #1 in Canada Clean Tech. However, in the mid-2000s, the company struggled financially and was forced into restructuring, which eventually ended up bankrupting a few years later.  Challenges in business really empowered Brad to create better business models.

A life designed by intention is something Brad is inspired to for most of his life. Grateful with the abundance surrounding him in health, family, connections, and businesses. He is now prioritizing his life design to create a legacy that impacts the world. Brad used his creative genius to solve another problem – waste!

Some Questions I Ask:

What’s your thought around accountability and how to call someone up to the highest version of themselves?

How do you find balance in ensuring that the things that matter most to you aren’t sacrificed for the success that is also drive and part of your DNA?

What’s the big vision of Pela and Lomi?
