Straight Fire w/ Jason McIntyre - KD is ...

iHeartPodcasts and The Volume
About this episode

On today's episode, Jason gets the party started by taking Kevin Durant to task for saying that James Harden, Kyrie Irving and Russell Westbrook are three of the most influential players of their generation. If you seriously dive into all 3 of their careers, you'll realize that they're all immensely talented but none of them are actually inspiring. If anything, they inspire young players in all the wrong ways. If KD wanted to highlight influential players of this generation, he'd bring up LeBron James and Steph Curry. Later, J-Mac explains why it's looking more and more as though the Portland Trail Blazers are drawing dead heading into the NBA Draft. They want to make a deal to keep Damian Lillard happy, but there is no realistic trade that makes them a contender. Gutting the roster for guys like Bam Adebayo or Mikal Bridges (or both) won't suddenly vault them to the top of the Western Conference. Lillard has to understand that his best path to a ring is to get traded himself, perhaps to a team like the Milwaukee Bucks.
