Straight Fire w/ Jason McIntyre - Bradle...

iHeartPodcasts and The Volume
About this episode

On today’s episode, Jason and Super Producer Rob G (Robert Guerra) bring you wall-to-wall conversation on the blockbuster trade that saw the Washington Wizards send All-Star guard Bradley Beal to the Phoenix Suns in what basically amounts to a salary dump. This one was a huge win for Phoenix. Beal may not be good enough to lead a playoff team by himself, but he can absolutely excel as your third guy behind Kevin Durant and Devin Booker. The only thing that can stop these guys is the NBA’s new Collective Bargaining Agreement. If and when the Suns trade incumbent center Deandre Ayton for some additional depth, they should find themselves as one of the favorites to win the Western Conference next season. On the flip side, the Wizards did the right thing by deciding to bottom out - even if it was a year too late. A Beal-led club just isn’t good enough to compete in the Eastern Conference. Now, they can take their lumps for the next few years, earn a few high lottery picks and start anew.
