About this episode

SEC schedule fallout

The Southeastern Conference is going to stick with an eight-game schedule for at least the first year that it is a 16-team conference, with the additions of Texas and Oklahoma. Why? Braden Gall from the Cover 2 Podcast and Athlon Sports joins AP’s Ralph Russo to talk about the SEC sticking with eight in 2024, why it’s a disappointing decision, and why – maybe – it’s not a terrible idea to see how two years of a 12-team College Football Playoff works itself out. Plus, what teams are we buying the preseason hype? What teams are we skeptical of the high expectations?
