Maria's story brought us in the room to tears, not only because of what she has been through, but how far she has come, what she had to go through to get to where she is today and most importantly, how she never EVER gave up.
Maria taught us to acknowledge how far you have come, to take it all in and to remember that even when bad things happen, you are not what happens to you, you are what you make out of it.
