Do elephants get boogers?

American Public Media
About this episode

Happy Elephant Week! Every episode this week answers a different question about our magnificent and ginormous elephant friends. Elephants use their long, flexible noses to sniff out food, take baths and even hug other elephants. But do they ever get boogers in their trunks? We asked psychology professor and elephant expert Joshua Plotnik to help us find the answer!

Got a question that’s snot easy to answer? Send it to us at BrainsOn.org/contact, and we’ll help pick out the answer.
