Sing with gladness: songs connect the heart to ideas and themes, expanding their impact and duration. These are not songs of sentiment but sincerity. The fact they will be written speaks of a growing heart transformation among Gentile believers toward the Jewish people—the removal of enmity (Eph 2:15) through the power of the Cross. We are called to engage with gladness, not reluctance, in God’s purposes for Israel and not remain ignorant (Rom. 11:25).
