Teachify
About this episode

Hello guys, welcome to the Teachify English podcast.  My name is Lewis, I’m 27 years old, from Leeds in England and I live I Sevilla as, I’m sure, many of you will already know by now.  But in case you’re new to the podcast, we’re a language learning start-up based in Sevilla and Madrid, but as a result of the coronavirus crisis we have decided to expand to and start classes online so wherever you are, you have no excuse, you can learn English.

In this episode, the topic is all about space, but not personal space or room, about outerspace, the solar system and the galaxy.  While Lewis also discusses the new race to space between NASA, SpaceX and Blue Origin.  Here, we have to also mention their founders, Elon Musk & Jeff Bezos, the richest man in the world.

Below, as usual, you have a short list of some of the more complicated vocabulary with their synonyms or short definitions.

  1. aliens - life from another planet.
  2. UFO - unidentified flying object.
  3. predict - foresee, forecast.
  4. rewind - go back in time, to the past.
  5. wealthy - rich.
  6. insane - crazy or mad.
  7. tax haven - a place where you don't pay taxes.
  8. due to - because of, as a result of.
  9. willing - prepared, ready.
  10. budget - the total money available
  11. debt - negative money, mone owed.
  12. rocket - spaceship.
  13. space out - become confused or distracted.
  14. over the moon - very happy.
  15. come back down to earth - return to reality.

Thank you so much for listening guys, don't forget to have a look on YouTube for our daily videos and Instagram for our LIVE classes.

Ah, and the joke, how do you organise a party in space?

YOU PLANET!
