#7 Happy Easter

Teachify
About this episode

It's Easter, and what a strange Easter it is.  Here at Teachify we're trying to stay productive and continue to adapt to this situation by giving you as many resources as possible to keep you busy.  This episode is all about our memories of Easter back home, therefore you'll listen to a short recording from each of our teachers.  Every teacher tells you about the things that stand out most after they were told to look back and summarise Easter growing up.

Your task is to try to take notes, or a mental note or what everyone says.  In addition to that, write down the words you don't understand.  Below, you can find a listen of the most complex vocabulary and the context.  However, it's your job to do your research to find synonyms and possibly, the translation in your language.  Enjoy!

  1. Country boy - I'm a bit of a country boy, I grew up in the countryside.
  2. Drown - We would drown ourselves in chocolate.
  3. Sweet tooth - I have a very big sweet tooth.
  4. Shed - It's like storage in the back of the garden.
  5. Melt - She would melt all of the chocolate.
  6. Set - We would leave them in the fridge to set.
  7. Come together - We would come together and everyone had to bring a plate.
  8. Altar boy - I can remember that I was an altar boy.
  9. Vividly - I remember this very vividly.
