40. The English Gap

Annie Ruden M.S. CCC-SLP
About this episode

Do you feel like there is a gap between the amount of English you understand and the amount of English you can speak?

This is what I call the English gap.

Many times, we know what we want to say, but we don’t have the skillset to speak it out loud. There is a disconnect between our knowledge and our ability to express it to others.

In this episode of the Pronunciation Pro Podcast, I explain why this disconnect happens and how you can fix it. Think of it like weight training. At the moment you decide you want to get stronger, there is a gap between the muscle you currently have and where you want to be. The only way to close that gap is to work out.

It is the same with the English gap. You might not be where you want to be right now, but with time and practice, that gap will gradually close and you’ll be that much closer to your English goals. It’s not easy but with the proper training and guidance, you’ll see your English gap get smaller and smaller. Isn’t that what we are shooting for?

The nice thing is, you don’t have to do it alone. In fact, doing it alone makes the process that much harder. We are here to support you!

Sign up for my 7-day trial today and let me help you close the English gap and continue succeeding towards your goal of speaking English clearly and confidently. http://pronunciationpro.com/trial/
