Taiwán, la isla autogobernada que China reclama como propia, es uno de los puntos donde hay más tensión política de todo el planeta, sobre todo entre Pekín y Washington. Hace unos días, la fricción se hizo aún más patente por las maniobras militares del Ejército chino que simulaban el cerco y bombardeo de la isla. El régimen de Xi Jinping respondía así a la reciente visita de la presidenta taiwanesa Tsai Ing-wen a Washington, que nunca ha dejado claro de manera oficial si defendería a la isla en caso de conflicto. El miedo a una escalada de violencia hace que algunos taiwaneses se miren en el espejo de Ucrania.
