European Hematology Association
About this episode

In this podcast, Hartmut Döhner, Hematologist-Oncologist and Professor of Medicine in Germany, discusses with Dr. Nathalie van Havre the role of genomic characterization in the classification, prognosis and treatment of myeloid neoplasms.

Discover the main methods of genomic testing, the kind of relevant information they can provide, and the essential techniques that should currently be available for hematology centers. The podcast also explores the significance of germline variants and the need for their investigation, and the challenges associated with the implementation of a comprehensive genomic assessment in routine clinical practice.

The podcast is based on the paper: "Genomic Profiling for Clinical Decision Making in Myeloid Neoplasms and Acute Leukemia", by Duncavage EJ, et al. Blood. 2022;140:2228-2247. (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/36130297/)

Host: Dr Nathalie van Havre; Guest: Prof Hartmut Döhner
