How to Prepare for the English Test

Dr Caroline and Dr Sasha
About this episode

IELTS, TOEFL IBT, PTE, OET - Do these words mean anything to you?

Chances are you come from a country that Australia might regard as 'non-English speaking', in which case you will need to take one of the above tests to prove your competency in English.

Not only in this an essential step in getting registered as a doctor/healthcare worker in Australia, but also becomes important when applying for visas and residency, so listen up.

Sasha and our South African trained colleague and friend, Brendan, dissect the differences and similarities between IELTS and TOEFL IBT to help you decide what might suit your skills better! Look out for our further podcasts explaining the options in more detail, as well as who might qualify for an exemption from these tests! Just another small hurdle, to serve a bigger purpose!
