On today's episode, Jason and Producer Rob G do a deep dive into the upcoming NBA Playoffs. There may not be a single team in the postseason who has a tougher road to the championship than Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks; they get the defending Eastern Conference champion Miami Heat, followed by (presumably) the Big 3 Brooklyn Nets and the top-seeded Philadelphia 76ers. Speaking of the Nets, it's hard not to do a quick double take on Kyrie Irving's impassioned speech over the weekend regarding the turmoil in the Middle East. While all the rest is obviously bigger than basketball in the grand scheme of things, Kyrie making a point to say that 'basketball is not the most important thing to me right now' heading into the postseason sounds like he's setting the stage to either boycott his media obligations or to miss a playoff game altogether. Assuming Kyrie is locked in, though, the guys agree that the Nets should be the favorites to make the NBA Finals. The real drama lies in the Western Conference. LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers will face off with Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors in the play-in game on Wednesday. The Lakers are heavy favorites, but there's something to be said about what Steph's done in the last two months of the season. Win or lose on Wednesday, he's making a strong case to crack the top-10 players in NBA history. Finally, Jason and Rob G drop verbal haymakers on the Los Angeles Clippers after the Paper Clips essentially tanked the last 2 games of the season so they could avoid being on the Lakers side of the bracket. If you weren't already questioning the confidence level of Kawhi Leonard and Paul George after what happened in last year's playoffs, I'm sure you are now.
