36. Why Can I Understand English But Can...

Annie Ruden M.S. CCC-SLP
About this episode

Have you ever been frustrated that you understand English really well but can’t speak it as well? You’re not alone.

This is a common experience I hear from some of my students, where they are frustrated that they understand English when others speak it or when they are reading it, but when they try to actually speak it themselves, there is a disconnect.

In episode 36 of my podcast, I go through this and talk about how you can close that gap between your understanding of English and your spoken English. In my program, Pronunciation Pro, I give some great tips for how to start.

First, watch the course videos and practice along with them out loud.

Step two, read out loud every single day with deliberate practice.

Lastly, get feedback, whether that is from Study Groups or from 1-on-1 help with our personal trainers.

If you are interested in joining a program that will help you be able to speak American English just as well as you can understand it, I invite you to join Pronunciation Pro today and start going through my videos, reading out loud, and attending our Study Groups weekly.

You’ll be surprised by how much of a difference having a program will make in building your confidence and communication!

Join Pronunciation Pro today: http://pronunciationpro.com/trial/ and I can’t wait to see you in my program!
