من الغرائبية إلى الإثارة | مع الر|س والش...

Does the arabic musician have anything to say to the rest of the world? Or is he confined to his own little market?  From exoticism to sensationalism, this episode aims to discuss those topics out loud, with Sharif Sehnaoui (composer and improviser, as well as co-founder of Festival Irtijal, the first contemporary experimental music festival in the Middle East) and Mazen el-Sayed "El Rass" (Lebanese rapper, who's taking the arab music scene by storm with his work).  Although perhaps musically inclined to different tastes, the guests compliment each other very well within a free-flowing conversation that will leave you glued to your headphones!  I thank Dr. Bassel el Baba and Dr. Pamela Krause, for hosting this episode at their place in Achrafieh-Sioufi, Beirut.  The lighting in this episode is not particularly great, due to the fact that we had faulty electric systems.
