you might have listened to ayah in our last episode of season 1, "hijab is tough love", well in season 2 we complete that conversation and speak about how hijab feels like in high school + stories & ways to effectively respond to people who ask about your hijab. The way you first wear the hijab, shapes your whole journey of it. High school was the first time wearing it for me, as well as many other hijabis. It can be quite frightening as a young girl just trying to make her way to class but feel like everyones staring & waiting to ask questions. It often feels like being the elephant in the room. But that doesn’t always have to be a bad thing!
