21: Murdaugh Made Millions Off His Dead ...

True Crime Today
About this episode

Outside of the sight of the jury, the son of Alex Murdaugh's former housekeeper Gloria Satterfield claimed that the disgraced lawyer took millions of dollars in settlement money from his family. Satterfield was Alex Murdaugh's former housekeeper. Tony Satterfield answered the prosecutor's question about whether or not Murdaugh had paid him any money in connection with the wrongful death lawsuit filed by his mother by repeatedly saying "No." Following the confession made by the disbarred lawyer, a South Carolina judge would ultimately rule that a $4.3 million judgment should be entered against Murdaugh's estate.
